Work Explanation

PulLit is an interactive knit lamp. The lamp gradually lights up as user pulled down the knitted lampshade and becomes dimmer when it is contracted.

The PulLit Project mainly focuses on the nature of light and aims to create an integrated experience through light and texture of the lamp. Human size, eight lamps made out of soft strings  in various colour are hung on the ceiling of the space. The audience pulls down the lamp and dyes the space and people with the colours. One colour light effects on others. As more people remained pulling the lamps, the colour lights get mixed and create various colours.

Visitors can decide the way of interaction with the lamps. They can hug, pull and touch freely, which provides the haptic and playful experience with lights as well.
